How it works
Find a sector
Shores, lakes and river stretches on the map are divided into hexagonal sectors about 600 metres across. Pick a free one or someone else’s.
Catch and photograph
Caught a fish? Photograph it in the app on the spot. The app checks that you are near the sector and suggests the species from the photo.
Claim the sector
The sector becomes yours and you earn coins. It stays yours until another angler takes it with a catch of their own.
What’s inside
A map of sectors by the water
Sectors exist only where fishing is possible: by the sea, rivers, lakes and ponds. No nature reserves, ports or closed areas on the map.
Clans and the weekly battle
Build a clan, claim sectors together and compete with other clans in your city. Every week we sum up the results and open a shared chest.
Coins, rewards and a shop
Coins for catches, captures and tasks. Spend them on how your profile and map look: frames, skins and name styles.
Challenges and achievements
New tasks, medals and achievements every week. There is always something to hunt besides fish.
Bite forecast
A bite forecast for your city based on weather, pressure and the phase of the moon, so you know when to head to the water.
Diary and rankings
A personal catch diary, city rankings, follows for your friends and a feed of their catches.

What is RANGE?
A map game for anglers. The city is divided into hexagonal sectors about 600 metres across. You catch a fish in a sector and photograph it in the app, and the sector becomes yours. Catches and sectors earn you coins, medals and places in the rankings.
Is it free?
Yes, you can play for free. Coins are earned in the game: for catches, captured sectors, tasks and rewards.
Do I need to install an app?
No. RANGE runs as a Telegram mini app (the @catchrangebot bot) and on the catchrange.com website. If you like, you can add it to your phone’s home screen.
How is a catch recorded?
You need to be near the sector (within about 400 metres) and photograph the catch in the app. The app suggests the species from the photo; you confirm it and can add the length, weight and bait.
Which cities can I play in?
Batumi, Moscow and the Moscow region, Saint Petersburg, Sochi and Tbilisi. You choose your city when you sign up and can change it later in your profile.
What happens to my data?
We do not sell data and we do not show third-party advertising. What data we collect, who receives it and how to delete it is described in the privacy policy (the link is at the bottom of the page).
